Network "Advanced" Configuration.
Posted by Robert Monaghan on 03 September 2014 02:35 PM

There is a lot of incorrect information out there about how to configure your network, with Séance.

I am not sure who is putting this out there, but they are providing bad information.

Here is what needs to be done for both 1Gb and 10Gb ethernet:

Leave the default settings in place! (It must look like this...)

Advanced Network Settings tab

If you change the settings (a popular one is to use MTU 9000), you will have unpredictable behavior, including crashing, stalls and corrupted data.
